Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on the 5th of August to begin the third season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, where she was the host and the moderator. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. Her outstanding talk show also brought the host an Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events by looking through the eyes of five hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News the early morning news broadcast The Early Show for a decade. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host on The Early Show. After the attacks of 9/11 She was taken to Cairo and tracked down the lead hijacker's father for an intense and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves's interviews include newsmakers such as ex- New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian, William Cohen (former Defense Secretary) as well as celebrities such as Denzel Washington. Matthew McC Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter who has featured stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was the reporter for WDTN TV Dayton located in Dayton in the state of Ohio (1995-1997). She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the network's affiliate news service, and she was a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991), while finishing her senior year at University of Southern California. It was her first broadcasting job as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still one of the journalists she admires. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special which explored the 1992 Los Angeles riots, worked in conjunction with Koppel.
