Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news with WPDE-TV. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. It led to state authorities issuing more strict guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and as well contributes to Dateline NBC. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
