Schlapp, however, has maintained her focus on her job. She's focused on areas including school safety the infrastructure and opiates as well as trade. As a current employee, Schlapp is not in contact with many reporters. The issue came up in March when she gained a sudden burst interest when it was known that her name would be a candidate for replace Hope Hicks as the director of communication.
